Ishida and Ishida Korea participated in the Korea Pack, which was held in Seoul, from June 2nd to 5th.
The main exhibit was "Total Line Solution", which is one of Ishida's strong points, being able to provide all equipments from weighing, packaging, to inspection. We made actual demonstration with an integrated Weigh-Pack-Inspect system, which caught the eyes of many visitors.
The other highlights were newly launched machines; IX-GE-2462-D x-ray inspection system, DACS-G checkweigher, as well as NFC-12 table-top multihead weigher.

A new type of small-size X-ray inspection, which features low running cost while it keeps high inspection sensitivity.
DACS-G Checkweigher
New series of Ishida's checkweigher. The series meets customers' various needs, from precise inspection accuracy of 0.05g to large-capacity checkweighinr up to 60kg, being used for wide range of product characteristics and weight, and adopts various features, including waterproof IP-69K rating, HACCP and GMP standards, real-time data collection, and integration with metal detectors.
NFC-12 table-top multihead weigher
A manual placement combination scale to achieve high accuracy and minimum give-away, which is specialized for weighing fragile products, such as fresh meat, raw fish, and fresh fruit with high accuracy.

Ishida Europe attended to SNACKEX 2009 held in Berlin, Germany, which was specialized trade show for snack manufactures and package machine manufactures.
Ishida's main exhibit was CCW-R-218WB-D, an oval true twin multihead weigher integrated with high-speed twin ATLAS bagmakers. It's unique design - independent operation of both sides - maximizes production speed with fast and reliable discharge of product to the bagmakers What's more, the system's unique oval shape with separate dispersion feeder arrangements insures smooth and positive product infeed and flow to both sides of the weigher for maximum efficiency.
Visitors were not only from the neighbor countries, but also from the Middle East and Africa and there were many positive enquiries in spite of the recent economic stagnation.

President Ryuichi Ishida has been received an award of "The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon" for his effort and contribution to industrial development as the position of chairperson of Japan Packaging Machinery Manufactures Association. This award is one of the Japanese national decorations awarded by the government, created in 1875, which is given to the persons both in Japan and all over the world, who especially plays a significant dedication to the country or the public.
Upon the recipient of the award, he extends his sincere thanks.
First, I would like to sincerely express my special gratitude for unexpectedly receiving the award of "The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon". I believe that I am honored to have this glorious award not only because of my personal effort, but also largely thanks to the support from many brilliant and marvelous people, such as our business partners, customers, and other relevant people, and to share this joy with all the employees of the Ishida Group and their families, both in Japan and all over the world.
I have always asked myself how could be "the fittest of the times" as an individual and a company. For forty-nine years when I have been with the company, I have been always doing my best to progress myself with the firm philosophy that a company or a person, which provides products and services that is useful and appreciated by society, is accepted and considered necessary and will be ageless and are bound to prosper.
As a result, in some of the important stages of my life in past, I could also received several awards, and the confidence from those accomplishments have been a great power to further enhance myself. New bagmaker ATRIA optimized for Asian market

Ishida has introduced the ATRIA, a vertical form fill bagmaker optimized for the Asian market.
When integrated with a weigher, the ATRIA provides stable packaging and weighing at a fast
speed of 140 bags/min, while securely sealing the thick films typically used in the Asian
market.
- High Output and Tight Sealing
The space-saving ATRIA is designed for integrated operation with a weigher. When two ATRIA
units are integrated with a single weigher, they provide an extremely short former pitch of 750 mm
and require a minimal area of around 1,900x 2,200 mm for installation. The sealing unit employs
proprietary continuous D-motion technology to achieve a fast packaging speed of 140 times/min
(per side) while maintaining sufficient seal time to securely seal the thick films commonly used in
Asian markets.
- Easy Operation
As more and more part-time operators are being employed on the production site there is a
growing need for equipment that can provide easy-to-use operating screens and easy film
replacement. The ATRIA operation panel features a 12.1-inch color LCD screen and easy-to-use
icon-based operation. Furthermore, former replacement, which is performed when film is replaced,
is easy thanks to the former's lightweight design and unique removal design. Proprietary
construction ensures that film replacement does not require special settings and can be easily
performed by anyone.
The ATRIA was met with an overwhelmingly favorable reception when it was introduced at a trade
show in Japan last year, and Ishida has already received inquiries from overseas customers. As a
new addition to Ishida's bagmaker series, the ATRIA is proving to be a valuable asset for
customers.

ISHIDA X-ray inspection system on Footwear Exhibition

Ishida exhibited the X-ray inspection system specialized for inspection of footwear in Japan Grand Shoes Collection (Shoes exhibition), which is held in Kobe, Japan, from Jun.27th to 28th.
Inspection by X-ray inspection system is norm on footwear inspection line of shoes manufacturers and inspection companies, and many of those companies conduct strict pre-shipment inspection by using X-ray machine.
Ishida launched the X-ray inspection system designed specifically for footwear last year. The system contains proprietary functions that helps reduce visual inspection errors and increase inspection speed as well as facilitating product traceability.
- Long item viewable on a single screen
Line sensor technology allows product of up to 1,000mm in length, such as long boots and other long items, to be viewed as a single image.
- Foreign objects marked in color for reduced inspection time
Areas containing foreign objects are automatically marked using automatic image processing technology. This feature allows the inspection to discover foreign objects immediately, leading to reduced inspection time.
- Clear visual inspection screen image
Visual inspections are conducted from the operation panel, which allows image sharpness to be adjusted.
- Saving all the inspection image
All inspection images can be saved as an option, which is useful for traceability.
