Seafood Processing Global - Hall 4, Stand 4-6161

At Seafood Processing Global Ishida Europe will showcase some of its latest solutions in weighing, packing and quality control for fish applications. Highlights include a special multihead weighing solution, a new grader and tray sealer and the company’s market-leading X-ray technology.

Ideal for sticky products such as fish which are traditionally difficult to move efficiently through an automated weighing system, the 14 head Ishida CCW-R-214WB-30-WP SF screw feeder weigher incorporates unique rotating corkscrews to provide a powerful, controlled and fully automatic product feed to the three litre pool and weigh hoppers. In addition, a set of booster hoppers directly underneath the weigh hoppers means the machine has 28 hoppers from which to choose the combination that most closely matches the required target weight, thereby increasing accuracy, speed and efficiency.

The recently-launched Ishida FLEX-Grader uses a choice of weighing and X-ray technologies to provide a high speed operation with excellent accuracy that is able to grade product to a variety of different specifications. Fast and accurate weighing of every piece can take place using the Flex Weigher, while its X-ray technology provides accurate weight estimation.

Grading can be carried out to specified weights, minimum weight or number per pack. It can also deliver target batching with tolerances and priorities. Depending on the application, top speeds of 235 packs per minute can be achieved.

Ishida’s QX-775-Flex tray sealer combines a compact design with high speeds for MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) trays of up to 15 cycles per minute, along with maximum hygiene and high quality pack and product presentation. The system is also compatible with a variety of packaging applications including standard MAP, skinpack and shrink film applications.

Ishida’s advanced high performance X-ray inspection system, the IX-GA-4075, can reliably detect even tiny amounts of foreign bodies down to 0.3mm in size, such as steel, aluminium, tin, glass, stones, hard rubber, plastic, some bones and shell. Ishida’s unique Genetic Algorithm (GA) technology enables operators to ‘train’ the X-ray system for greater sensitivity to specific contaminants. In addition, it can spot missing, undersized and mis-shaped items or damaged products, and the software allows product masking and weight estimations.
