Ishida Europe at Empack Den Bosch, Brussels

Solutions for weighing, sealing and quality control will be demonstrated on the Ishida Europe stand at Empack Den Bosch, underlining the company’s capabilities in all areas of the packing line.

Models on show include a specialist compact multihead weigher for ultra-low target weight applications, the latest in tray sealer developments and an advanced X-ray system.

The Ishida ‘Lilliput’ CCW-M-214W-005-SS delivers excellent accuracy and efficiency levels close to 100% at a top speed of 120wpm. The 14-head weigher can handle target weights from 0.5 to 40g, making it ideal for applications such as tea, soup ingredients, dehydrated vegetables and spices and herbs.

A small footprint of just 650 x 650mm, and maximum height of only 970mm, means the weigher can fit into any factory, saving valuable floor space.

Ishida’s QX-775-Flex tray sealer combines a compact design with high speeds for MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) trays of up to 15 cycles per minute, along with maximum hygiene and high quality pack and product presentation.

The tray sealer is suitable for any product type including ready meals, meat, poultry, fish and salads. The system is also compatible with a variety of packaging applications including standard MAP, skinpack and shrink film applications.

Ishida’s advanced high performance X-ray inspection system, the IX-GA-4075, can reliably detect even tiny amounts of foreign bodies down to 0.3mm in size, such as steel, aluminium, tin, glass, stones, hard rubber, plastic, some bones and shell.

Ishida’s unique Genetic Algorithm (GA) technology enables operators to ‘train’ the X-ray system for greater sensitivity to specific contaminants. In addition, it can spot missing, undersized and mis-shaped items or damaged products, and the software allows product masking and weight estimations.
